Is it safe?

Yes. Our ingredients are FDA-allowed and safe for consumption. Produce Care is made from highly purified plant-derived ingredients that are already present in many foods.

How does it work?

Produce naturally has a protective outer layer that helps regulate moisture. Produce Care adds a microscopic plant-based layer that supports those naturally occurring protections.

How do I apply it?

Spray an even coating around the surface of each piece of produce. About two sprays is usually enough for an average avocado.

Do I need to wash my produce before applying?

To see the greatest benefit, apply as soon after purchase as possible. If you typically wash your produce, do so before you apply Produce Care, then allow it to dry once Produce Care has been applied.

Should I wash it off before I eat it?

Produce Care is food-safe and has no taste. Some notice a light cinnamon smell when spraying, but it typically does not linger on the fruit. There is no need to wash it off before eating, though you are welcome to. Simply enjoy your produce when it is ready.

I see small white areas where I sprayed. Is that normal?

Yes. This can happen if a little more spray lands in one area, or if produce touches another piece while drying. It simply means the spray dried unevenly. It is completely normal and safe to eat.

Do I need to refrigerate sprayed produce?

No. Once sprayed with Produce Care, store your produce as you normally would, in the fridge, on the counter, or in a fruit basket. Whatever works.

What produce works best?

Produce Care works best on whole fruits and vegetables such as avocados, mangos, lemons, limes, and other produce with a peel or skin. It is not recommended for cut produce.

How long will one bottle last?

It depends on how much produce you treat. As an example, a single bottle can treat around 153 avocados at two sprays each.

Is Produce Care vegan?

It sure is.

How should I store the bottle?

Store at room temperature and give it a slight shake before each use. For best results, use prior to the Best Before date on your bottle.
